I watched Jay & Silent Bob: Reboot the other day. By way of review, well … it’s an objectively bad movie that I subjectively loved. Make of that what you will.

Trying to find a secure email client is easier said than done these days. Most of the new services seem to require you go through their servers, I assume to mine data. And so, Thunderbird remains my weapon of choice.

Finally saw Miller’s Crossing last night. What a movie! I also learned it was based on a Dashiell Hammett book – the same that inspired Kurosawa‘s Yojimbo, which incidentally means that Last Man Standing is, in fact, the second prohibition-era movie based on the same material.

Each Christmas I’m reminded how lousy I am at gift wrapping, despite having worked in retail in my younger days. Embarrassed and infuriating, though I suppose the customers had bigger reason to complain.

Finally installed in the new house. This kids have been antsy for a few days, but are finding their feet. Today they didn’t wake up before 8, and we’ve slathered every surface in Christmas lights. I feel like I can breathe easy (well, easier) again.
